About Norcliff

One operator,
two practices, one set of standards.

Norcliff is a UK consultancy helping SMEs who know they should be doing something with AI but don't know where to start, and a commercial drone service for projects nationwide. Fast turnarounds, plain proposals, and the same person who reads your audit is the one doing the work.

Origin

How Norcliff came about.

Norcliff started with a question we kept hearing from people we knew in business: where do I even start with AI? Not “should I use it”: they'd already decided yes. Not “is it overhyped”: they'd been past that for a year. Just: where do I start.

The honest answer is harder than it sounds. Fifty tools, five hundred courses, five thousand LinkedIn posts a day. Most of it noise; some of it useful; almost none of it tailored to your business. Norcliff exists to help UK SMEs cut through that and ship something useful: AI consulting that ends in a working tool, not a forty-page report.

The drone practice answers the same kind of client: businesses, sites and properties that look better from above, captured by someone who delivers finished work, not raw files. Norcliff is owner-operated, run alongside a full-time Engineering Manager role at a UK enterprise. Two practices, one operator, one set of standards.

How we work

Six things we won't bend on.

01

Plain English, on paper, before screens.

A written proposal is a debt of clarity. We owe you one before any work begins.

02

No theatre.

No "discovery phases", no kick-off lunches, no all-day workshops we both know are filler. We come, we work, we go home.

03

The person you meet is the person who works.

No subcontractors. No junior handoffs. One operator, on purpose.

04

We say no, often.

We turn down work we can't do well. There's usually someone better placed; we'll tell you who.

05

You own everything we make.

Source code, raw imagery, draft documents. Yours, with documentation, on day one.

06

Honest numbers, on the page.

Prices on the website. No discovery calls to "discuss budget". We respect your morning.

Get in touch

An unhurried conversation, to start.

A few lines is enough. We'll tell you if we can help, and if we can't, we'll usually know someone who can.
